The only awning in the Markilux catalogue designed specifically for triangular windows and glazed surfaces. Custom-made from a technical drawing approved by the client, round cassette with integrated brush seal, standard motorisation, and installation in any orientation. The solution for dormer windows, gabled roofs, and enclosures with angular geometry.
The Markilux 893 is not a standard catalogue product. Each unit is manufactured from the exact measurements of the window triangle, generating a factory production technical drawing that must be approved in writing by the client before production begins. The interior angles beside the cassette must always be a minimum of 45° and a maximum of 75°.
The two-piece round cassette of Ø 115 mm incorporates an integrated brush seal at the fabric outlet, protecting against dry leaves, dust, and dirt. This is particularly valuable in roof and dormer installations where exposure to external elements is greater.
The intelligent construction of the Markilux 893 makes installation in any orientation possible, adapting to the specific geometry of each triangular window regardless of its position on the façade. Self-supporting cassette on the guide rails without additional brackets.
The motor is the standard drive for the Markilux 893, with no crank option. Compatible with io 868 MHz remote-controlled motor and RTS 433 MHz, and with automatic sun, wind, and rain sensors.
The fabric of the Markilux 893 features a special construction and is only available in single-colour designs. The optical colour perception of individual segments may differ depending on lighting conditions, and manufactured fabrics may show an angle tolerance of ±0.5°.

The Markilux 893 is the only awning in the Markilux catalogue designed specifically for triangular windows and glazed surfaces. Dormer windows, mansard roofs, pitched-roof skylights, and any angled glazed opening that cannot be covered by a conventional vertical awning find their exact solution in the 893. At Cortinsa we install the Markilux 893 in Barcelona and Madrid with manufacturer’s warranty and our own technical team.
The Markilux 893 is specifically indicated for triangular windows with interior angles adjacent to the cassette of between 45° and 75°. These are common in loft spaces with sloped ceilings, in buildings with pitched roofs where the window opening follows the roof gradient, and in enclosures with distinctive architectural geometry where the window is not rectangular. In all these cases, a conventional vertical awning cannot adapt to the geometry of the opening, whereas the 893 is manufactured to the exact dimensions of the specific triangle.
Unlike the rest of the models in the catalogue, the Markilux 893 cannot be ordered in standard sizes. The process requires taking the exact measurements of the triangle — width, projection, and interior angles — which are sent to the factory where a technical manufacturing drawing is generated. This drawing must be approved in writing by the client before production begins, ensuring that the awning will fit the opening exactly. The manufacturing lead time is somewhat longer than for standard models due to this specific process.
At Cortinsa we install the Markilux 893 in Barcelona, Madrid, and the surrounding metropolitan area, with a technical measuring visit, generation of the technical drawing, bespoke manufacturing, and installation by our own team. If you have a triangular or angled window that requires solar protection, request your free no-obligation quote.
The Markilux 893 is a bespoke triangular awning for windows and glazed surfaces with angular geometry. It is manufactured from a technical drawing approved by the client, with interior angles of 45° to 75° and standard motorisation.
The Markilux 893 is designed for triangular windows such as those found in attics, mansard roofs, and gable-end roofs where the glazed opening follows the pitch of the roof. Any triangular window with interior angles between 45° and 75°.
The process requires taking exact measurements of the triangle — span, projection and angles — which are sent to the Markilux factory. There, a technical manufacturing drawing is produced, which must be approved in writing by the client before production begins. Our technical team takes the measurements during an in-person visit.
Width from 68 to 400 cm and maximum projection of 500 cm depending on the triangle shape. The interior angles adjacent to the cassette must be a minimum of 45° and a maximum of 75°.
No. The Markilux 893 operates exclusively with a standard motor, with no hand-crank option. Compatible with io 868 MHz and RTS 433 MHz remote-controlled motors and automatic sensors.
Cortinsa installs the Markilux 893 in Barcelona, Madrid and the surrounding metropolitan area, with a technical survey visit, made-to-measure manufacturing and installation by our own in-house team — no subcontractors.
