One of the major projects we have carried out this year with Corradi
has been a bioclimatic pergola on the terrace of The Serras Hotel.
The Serras Hotel is one of the highest-rated hotels in the country.

On this terrace, they wanted to create a space that could be used all year round, regardless of the weather. The best option in this case was to install a bioclimatic pergola. This pergola was manufactured by one of the leading outdoor furniture manufacturers, Corradi.
Why bioclimatic pergolas?
Bioclimatic pergolas are characterised by their ability to regulate both heat and cold in a ‘natural’ way, provided that the materials used are suitable for every type of situation. This structure is designed to provide protection throughout the different seasons of the year. This means we can always use the terrace or location where it is installed.
The options available to improve these temperature conditions include: side closures with glass panels or guided curtains. We can also improve the internal temperature and use the space at any time. We maximise the use of outdoor spaces all year round.
This type of structure is resistant to rain and snow. They can be made completely watertight to withstand any unexpected weather conditions. They block out the sun’s rays, enhancing the space and extending the lifespan of any furniture inside. They can incorporate LED lighting and heating to allow for use both day and night throughout the year.

They can include a smart motorised system using wind and rain sensors. This system will automatically cover or uncover the terrace, improving the pergola’s performance without damaging it.
To enable these spaces to be used all year round, we recommend this type of structure for:
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Bars
- Homes
