This year we have carried out a project for some offices in Barcelona where we were able to install an OR Curtain, known as a large-scale roller blind.
The OR Curtain is characterised by its large-scale roller blind structure. It can measure up to 40 metres wide by 6 metres high in a single piece.
This type of structure is both complex and sophisticated.
As we can see in the images, the fabric is kept completely taut by the counterweight. In this case, the counterweight is the roller shaft that winds the fabric up and down. Therefore, the fixed part is attached to the ceiling, and the roller shaft winds the fabric up and down as the blind is raised or lowered.
This type of curtain must be guided
on at least one of the two sides and be motorised. Without these two elements, we cannot operate it due to its considerable weight.
