We have completed a project in the Gràcia neighbourhood of Barcelona. We have installed an external sun protection system combining awnings and guided external roller blinds. This combination has allowed us to create a harmonious look for the façade without detracting from its aesthetic appeal.
For the ground-floor terraces and penthouses, in consultation with the client, we opted for cassette awnings measuring 4m wide by 3m in projection. In this way, with just two awnings, we cover the entire terrace, providing external sun protection and privacy from neighbouring properties.
On the middle floors, we have installed guided screen fabric curtains to provide sun protection and, at the same time, enhance privacy within the room. The dimensions are approximately 3m wide by 2m high. We have fitted them with cable guides that help keep them fully extended and secure against any gentle breezes.
This was one of the projects where we were able to use the same fabrics for both elements that met on the façade. We can see how the elements are fully integrated and unobtrusive. Visual simplicity is one of the key elements in our projects.
