In the project we are presenting, the owners were very clear that it was necessary to come up with solutions to provide shade in the garden.
Sunlight is wonderful, especially if you’re relaxing in the shade. If we really want to enjoy the outdoors, creating good shade on the terrace or in the garden is essential during the months when the sun is at its hottest.
A cassette awning: the most practical solution
The housing development where the house is located consists of large plots, and the house is designed to make the most of the outdoors. The entire perimeter of the ground floor allowed us to install a series of awnings stretching from one end of the garden to the other.
The large windows in this house in Castelldefels act as a filter between the garden and the house.
The high-end awnings chosen, in keeping with the home’s design, offer protection on hot days, ensure a cosy atmosphere and serve as a means of extending the interior space outwards.
The shade created by the Markilux 970 awning allows the outdoor space to be enjoyed even on very sunny days, naturally circulating air underneath and maintaining an optimal comfortable temperature.
The strategic positioning of the awnings, according to the house’s orientation, creates different spaces that allow the entire outdoor area to be enjoyed.
The creation of different areas in the garden allows you to make the most of every corner at any time of day, transforming these hot spaces into pleasant, cool places.
Thanks to the awnings, you’ll have a shaded and comfortable spot to relax, which also protects you from the sun’s UV rays and lets you enjoy the great outdoors all summer long.
