Venetian blinds incorporate a fixed headrail mechanism that allows three independent movements: raising, lowering and tilting the horizontal Venetian slats. This makes it possible to regulate the amount of light and the level of privacy with precision at any time of day without needing to fully open or close the blind.
Aluminium Venetian blinds are the most versatile and durable option, available with slats of 16, 25 and 50 mm, ideal for offices, kitchens and high-use spaces. Wooden Venetian blinds bring warmth and a natural feel, available with slats of 25, 50 and 70 mm for residential and hospitality spaces. Leather Venetian blinds are the most exclusive option, with slats of 50 and 70 mm for high-end interior design projects.
Slats of 16 mm for a minimalist, linear result. 25 mm for the balance between subtlety and presence. 50 mm for a contemporary finish with strong visual impact. 70 mm for projects where the slat takes centre stage in the design of the space.
Manual operation via wand and single-control cord, or a motorised Venetian blind with electric control. Available in cord or tape version depending on the type of installation. Control side on the right, left or custom-positioned to suit the requirements of each space.

Venetian blinds are one of the most widely used interior solar-control systems in the world, valued for their effectiveness, versatility and ability to regulate the amount of light entering any room with millimetre precision. Unlike other systems that only allow the light to be blocked or fully admitted, venetian blinds incorporate a triple-movement mechanism: raising, lowering and tilting the horizontal slats independently. This means it is possible to have the blind fully lowered whilst still adjusting the angle of the venetian slats to control exactly how much light enters, from what angle and at what level of privacy, without needing to raise the blind or use any additional system. Cortinsa’s made-to-measure venetian blinds are manufactured in aluminium, wood and leather with slats of 16, 25, 50 and 70 mm, adapting to any recess and any decorative style. You can view the rest of our made-to-measure curtain systems to find the most suitable solution for each space.
Aluminium venetian blinds are the most sought-after option in office, corporate and kitchen projects owing to their resistance to heavy use, ease of cleaning and ability to suit any decorative style. Aluminium venetian blinds are available with slats of 16, 25 and 50 mm, reaching maximum dimensions of 300 × 400 cm in the 50 mm slat version, making them the most suitable option for large-format glazing in working environments. Aluminium slats do not warp with humidity or temperature changes, making them particularly well suited to bathrooms, kitchens and spaces exposed to steam or condensation. Office blinds with aluminium slats are, in fact, the most common system in open-plan workspaces where controlling glare on screens is a daily functional requirement. The lacquered aluminium finish is available in a wide range of colours to coordinate with any corporate or residential interior palette.
Wooden venetian blinds bring a register entirely different from aluminium: natural texture, visual warmth and a decorative presence that makes the blind a focal element of the space. Wooden venetian blinds are available with slats of 25, 50 and 70 mm, with the 50 and 70 mm options being most in demand for high-end residential projects and hospitality installations where decorative detail forms part of the guest or diner experience. Made-to-measure wooden venetian blinds are manufactured from woods selected for their dimensional stability and ability to maintain their finish over time. For spaces with greater exposure to humidity, exterior venetian blinds or wet-area applications are recommended in aluminium, whilst wood is indicated for dry interiors. Exterior venetian blinds in aluminium are the technical alternative when weather resistance is required whilst retaining the aesthetic of horizontal slats.
Cortinsa installs made-to-measure venetian blinds in residential, corporate and hospitality projects in Barcelona and Madrid. Our team carries out a prior technical visit during which measurements are taken on site, advice is given on the most appropriate material —aluminium, wood or leather—, the slat width best suited to the dimensions of the recess, and the optimum operating system for the intended use. Motorised venetian blinds are particularly recommended for installations with difficult manual access, large-format glazing and projects where the solar control system is to be integrated into a home-automation installation. For interior design projects requiring a more technical solar-control solution, discover also our screen roller blinds or traditional curtains in linen and velvet. If the project requires floor-to-ceiling privacy without sacrificing natural light, consult the exclusive Cortinsa Inverter System.
