The Glatz Ambiente Nova is the largest side-post parasol in the Glatz range, available in six standard formats from 11.3 m² to 17.7 m² and in custom special sizes. With a mast of rectangular profile 85×145 mm and 4.5 mm wall thickness —the most robust in the entire range— and EN-AW-6063-T66 aluminium, the structure is designed for large permanent installations in intensively used outdoor spaces.
Synchronised opening by crank or motor
The patented synchronous opening mechanism opens and extends the canopy simultaneously with a few turns of the removable crank, with a high closing height that requires no moving of furniture. Motorisation is an available option at extra cost for projects requiring automated opening. The M4 rotating adapter —also optional— allows 360° rotation (with 310° electrical supply).
LED lighting integrated into the crossbars and mast
The Ambiente Nova features an LED lighting system integrated into the crossbars and the mast, independently dimmable. This is not an externally added accessory: the lighting is built into the structure, providing direct and indirect light across the entire shaded area. It is the most complete lighting system in the Glatz range.
Total personalisation: RAL, special sizes and valance
Structure available in natural anodised aluminium or in any RAL colour with powder coating (at extra cost). Cover available with or without valance. Custom special finishes: intermediate sizes, mast extensions up to +400 mm / -300 mm, Glatz Green® fabric, flame-retardant textiles and printed advertising fabrics.

Its rectangular-profile mast of 85×145 mm with a 4.5 mm wall thickness in EN-AW-6063-T66 aluminium — the highest-strength alloy in the entire Glatz range — and A4 stainless steel hardware define a structure conceived for permanent installations on large hospitality terraces, hotels, squares, and public spaces where robustness and aesthetics are paramount. The continuous mast profile down to floor level, with an integrated fixing tube, ensures a clean installation with no visible elements at the base.

The Ambiente Nova is the only parasol in the Glatz range to incorporate a LED lighting system integrated directly into the crossbars and mast, independently dimmable. Unlike the battery-powered LED spotlights available on other models, the Ambiente Nova’s lighting is part of the structure itself and provides direct and indirect light that transforms the terrace at night. The M4 rotating adapter — also optional — allows 360° rotation with an integrated 310° electrical feed, enabling the shade to be oriented in any direction without exposed cables.
Full customisation for bespoke projects
Unlike other models in the range, the Glatz Ambiente Nova is available in all RAL colours with powder coating for the structure, allowing it to be integrated into projects with corporate visual identity or specific architectural requirements. Plastic components are supplied in RAL 7045. The canopy is available with or without a valance, in 300 g/m² polyacrylic fabric with UV > 98%, and can be customised with Glatz Green® fabric, certified flame-retardant textiles, or printed branding. For large-scale projects, bioclimatic pergolas are the most common complementary solution when permanent coverage of large surfaces is required.

What is the difference between the LED on the Glatz Ambiente Nova and that on other Glatz parasols?
On most Glatz parasols, LED lighting is an external accessory — the battery-powered Osyrion spot — added to the structure. On the Ambiente Nova, the LED system is permanently integrated into the crossbars and the mast, with direct and indirect lighting adjustable independently. There is no battery or visible added components: the light is part of the parasol’s architecture.
