Why the Glatz Fortino Parasol is Different

The compact model in the F Pro line

The Glatz Fortino is the most compact model in the Glatz F Pro line, sharing its design and opening system with the Fortero and the Fortello. Its ultra-flat canopy and two-piece mast profile give it a contemporary, lightweight aesthetic that suits small hospitality terraces, public spaces, and compact outdoor areas.

Counter-opening via tensioning lever

Telescopic quick-opening system using a slider and tensioning lever. The generous closed height means furniture need not be moved when folding the parasol — essential on continuous-service terraces with limited space. The cover self-tensions thanks to the flexible ends of the ribs.

Up to 80 km/h in the most compact format

The Ø 250 cm Glatz Fortino format reaches 80 km/h (Beaufort 9) with fixed anchoring, wind-tunnel tested. Aluminium structure EN-AW-6063-T5 with A4 stainless steel fixings and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic components (PA6GF30). Suitable for corrosive environments.

Contract customisation: fabrics, branding, and immediate delivery

Accepts printed and advertising designs, Glatz Green® eco fabric, fire-retardant textiles, and mast extensions up to +300 mm / −550 mm. Features an immediate delivery programme available for the most in-demand formats and configurations.

Glatz Fortino Parasol: the compact-format contract solution for hospitality terraces in windy conditions

The Glatz Fortino: the F Pro solution for compact spaces

The Glatz Fortino parasol is the smallest model in the Glatz F Pro line, the contract parasol range that shares its design and opening system with the Fortero and the Fortello. Available in four formats from 4 m² (200×200 cm) to 6.4 m² (Ø 300 cm), it is particularly suited to compact hospitality terraces, public spaces with limited surface area, and rooftop terraces where a professional parasol is required without compromising the wind resistance demanded by contract use. Browse the full range of Glatz parasols for hospitality.

Its ultra-flat canopy and two-piece mast profile with Ø 38.4 mm cross-section give it a lighter aesthetic than the larger-format models in the range, while remaining within the uniform design language of the F Pro line. This makes it possible to combine it on the same terrace with the Fortero or the Fortello whilst maintaining complete visual coherence. The Glatz Fortino features an immediate delivery programme available for the most in-demand formats and configurations, reducing lead times on construction or terrace renovation projects. If your project requires combining the Fortino with other exterior protection systems, visit our page on hospitality and HORECA solutions.

80 km/h in a compact format: maximum resistance in the smallest size

The Ø 250 cm format of the Glatz Fortino achieves 80 km/h (Beaufort 9) in fixed anchorage, wind-tunnel tested — the highest wind resistance in the F Pro line in a compact format. The EN-AW-6063-T5 aluminium structure with A4 stainless steel fixings and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic components (PA6GF30) is certified for corrosive environments, making it suitable for terraces in coastal or high-pollution urban locations. The counter-opening lever tensioner system allows the parasol to be deployed in seconds with a large closing height, without the need to move furniture — a key advantage in compact hospitality spaces where furniture is always close to the mast. For projects requiring greater structural coverage, bioclimatic pergolas are the most common complementary solution.

Contract customisation even in a small format

Despite its compact size, the Fortino contract parasol accepts the same level of customisation as the larger-format models in the F Pro line: printed designs and advertising prints on the canopy, Glatz Green® eco fabric, third-party certified fire-retardant fabrics, valances, and special edging. Mast extensions of up to +300 mm / −550 mm allow the installation height to be adjusted to the conditions of each terrace. Replaceable and interchangeable canopies make it easy to refresh the look without replacing the structure.

Cortinsa, official Glatz distributor in Barcelona and Madrid

As the official Glatz distributor in Barcelona and Madrid, Cortinsa specifies the most suitable central-mast contract parasol for each project based on the available surface area, wind exposure, and aesthetic requirements. The Glatz Fortino is a common choice for projects requiring an F Pro line parasol in a reduced format, whether as the sole parasol on a compact terrace or combined with the Fortero and Fortello in larger installations. Frequently asked questions about the Glatz Fortino Parasol

What type of terrace is the Glatz Fortino designed for?

The Glatz Fortino is designed for compact hospitality terraces, small public spaces and rooftops. It is the smallest model in the Glatz F Pro range, with sizes from 200×200 cm (4 m²) to Ø 300 cm (6.4 m²). It is the standard solution when a contract parasol with professional wind resistance is required in a space where the larger formats of the Fortero or Fortello do not fit. Browse the full range of Glatz parasols for hospitality.

Both belong to the Glatz F Pro line and share the same design, materials and tension-lever opening system. The difference lies in the size: the Glatz Fortero covers formats from 6 m² to 12.3 m², whilst the Fortino covers from 4 m² to 6.4 m². The Fortino’s mast is also slimmer (Ø 38.4 mm versus the Fortero’s Ø 55 mm), giving it a lighter appearance in compact spaces. The three models in the F Pro line are visually compatible for terraces with multiple parasols.

It depends on the size. The Glatz Fortino has been wind-tunnel tested and reaches up to 80 km/h (Beaufort 9) in the Ø 250 cm format with fixed ground anchorage. The 200×200 cm formats withstand up to 70 km/h, and the Ø 300 cm and 250×250 cm formats up to 60 and 55 km/h respectively. In all cases, these figures require fixed anchorage; stability is lower with a ballast base.

Yes. The Glatz Fortino accepts printed and advertising graphics on the cover, as well as special valances, bespoke edging, Glatz Green® eco fabric, and certified fire-retardant textiles. Cortinsa manages these special manufacturing orders directly with Glatz AG. It is a common option for hospitality chains seeking brand consistency across all their terraces.

Yes. The Glatz Fortino structure is manufactured in anodised aluminium EN-AW-6063-T5 with A4 stainless steel fixings, materials certified for corrosive environments. This is one of the model’s explicit features, making it suitable for installations on the seafront, in marinas, and in urban areas with high salinity or atmospheric pollution.

Yes. All three models belong to the Glatz F Pro line and share the same design language: the same mast profile, the same opening system and the same ultra-slim canopy. This makes it possible to combine the Fortero and the Fortello on the same terrace alongside the Fortino whilst maintaining complete visual coherence — something common in hospitality terraces with different zones of varying sizes.
