Why the Gibus Twist is Different

Gibus’s reference model for hospitality, contract projects, and large residential areas. With the maximum width of 670 cm and maximum projection of 600 cm across the entire family, a 31 cm perimeter frame, and 13 × 13 cm posts, the Twist is the most robust Gibus bioclimatic pergola with the greatest coverage capacity.

The Largest Dimensions in the Entire Gibus Family

The Gibus Twist reaches a width of 670 cm and a projection of 600 cm per module — the maximum dimensions in the entire Gibus bioclimatic range. The 31 cm perimeter frame, compared to the 25 cm of the Joy and the Sway, provides greater structural rigidity and a more robust visual presence, suited to hospitality installations and contract projects where durability and scale are paramount.

0°–120° Adjustable Louvres with Gibus Technology

The Twist incorporates the same powder-coated extruded aluminium louvres, adjustable from 0° to 120°, as the entire Gibus family. Natural convection ventilation in the open position, full solar protection in the partial position, and a watertight cover with the patented sealing system in the closed position.

Modular, Extendable, Freestanding and Wall-Mounted

Available as a freestanding version with a base module of 4 posts, front wall-mounted, and side wall-mounted with 2 posts. Couplable modular system for covering large-scale terraces and outdoor spaces with shared posts. Please refer to the price list for coupled module configurations.

Optional Integrated LED Lighting

Compatible with LED lighting integrated into the louvre structure, fully integrated with no visible external elements. The most requested option in hospitality installations and hotel terraces where night-time use is intensive.

Gibus Twist in action, the premium bioclimatic pergola for large surfaces

Gibus Twist, the reference bioclimatic pergola for hospitality and large-scale installations

The Gibus Twist bioclimatic pergola is the highest-capacity and most robust model in the Gibus family. With a width of up to 670 cm and a projection of up to 600 cm per module, and a 31 cm perimeter frame that provides greater structural rigidity than the rest of the range, the Twist is the reference solution for hospitality projects, hotel terraces, restaurants with large outdoor areas, and any high-end residential installation where scale and durability are the priority. At Cortinsa we install the Gibus Twist in Barcelona and Madrid with manufacturer’s warranty and our own technical team.

Twist vs Joy: when the premium model is worth it

The Gibus Twist and the Gibus Joy are the two largest models in the Gibus bioclimatic range with adjustable louvres. The difference lies in the maximum dimensions and the robustness of the frame: the Twist reaches 670 × 600 cm compared with 610 × 450 cm for the Joy, and its 31 cm perimeter frame versus the Joy’s 25 cm delivers a more solid presence and greater structural resistance against wind. For a standard residential garden terrace, the Joy is sufficient. For projects requiring coverage of surfaces exceeding 25 m² in a single bay, or where the installation will be heavily exposed to weather conditions, the Twist is the right choice.

The bioclimatic pergola for HORECA projects in Barcelona and Madrid

The Gibus Twist is the most frequently installed model in hospitality and restaurant projects in Barcelona and Madrid. Its greater module width allows outdoor dining areas to be covered with fewer intermediate posts, maintaining the visual continuity of the space. In hotel projects, the Twist is typically combined with glass side enclosures and an outdoor heating system to transform the terrace into a year-round habitable space.
