The Gibus Velvet bioclimatic pergola is the model in the Gibus family featuring orientable louvres and a 28 cm frame, positioned between the visual lightness of the Joy (25 cm) and the robustness of the Twist (31 cm). With a width of up to 603 cm and a projection of up to 450 cm, it is a versatile solution for mid-scale residential and hospitality projects where a precise balance between dimensions, visual presence, and bioclimatic performance is required. The Gibus family with orientable louvres includes three main models differentiated by maximum dimensions and frame: the Gibus Joy with a 25 cm frame and up to 610 × 450 cm, the Gibus Velvet with a 28 cm frame and up to 603 × 450 cm, and the Gibus Twist with a 31 cm frame and up to 670 × 600 cm. The Velvet is the choice when the dimensions of the Joy are sufficient but a greater visual solidity from the 28 cm frame is preferred for a more robust integration in contemporary architecture projects.
The Gibus Velvet and the Gibus Velvet Plus share a name and similar dimensions but differ in the type of louvres: the Velvet has orientable louvres that pivot from 0° to 120° on their axis, always present in the plane of the roof. The Velvet Plus has foldable louvres that retract and stack, leaving part of the roof open. The choice depends on whether permanent protection (Velvet) or the ability to fully open the roof (Velvet Plus) is the priority.
