The Pratic Brera B is the only bioclimatic pergola in the Pratic family designed specifically to be installed within existing openings and structures. With no posts of its own and a perimeter profile of just 2 × 22 cm, the Brera B anchors directly to the perimeter of the opening — between walls, beneath a gallery, in a covered porch or over any architectural recess — occupying the minimum possible space without altering the existing structure.
Unlike the Brera P and the Brera S, the Brera B incorporates no uprights of its own. All load is transferred to the perimeter of the opening via the aluminium frame. The result is a retractable louvre roof that appears to form part of the space itself, with no vertical elements to interrupt the view or occupy usable floor area.
The aluminium louvres slide and stack into a compact space with a single motorised movement. In the open position they allow free passage of overhead light; in an intermediate position they modulate light entry and airflow; in the closed position they provide sun protection and channel light rain away to the exterior of the opening.
The Brera B’s perimeter profile is fixed directly to the existing structure with no masonry work required. Available as a single module with customisable dimensions up to 430 × 585 cm. Compatible with LED lighting integrated into louvres and profiles, and with home-automation systems for automated control.

The Pratic Brera B bioclimatic pergola is the solution for all those spaces where a conventional bioclimatic pergola cannot be installed due to the absence of space for posts. Designed to be anchored directly to the perimeter of a pre-existing architectural opening, the Brera B transforms covered porches, galleries, glazed inner courtyards and any gap between walls into a controllable bioclimatic space, without building works and without modifying the structure of the building. At Cortinsa we install the Pratic Brera B in Barcelona and Madrid with a prior technical site visit.
The Pratic Brera B post-free bioclimatic pergola is indicated when the space does not allow columns to be installed in the floor — penthouses with raised flooring, terraces with designer paving that cannot be drilled, inner courtyards with flooring in use, building galleries or any architectural opening delimited by walls or structure. With a load-bearing profile of 2 × 22 cm, the Brera B occupies the minimum possible structural space and integrates visually into the opening as if it were part of the space itself. The motorised retractable louvres compact at one end of the profile without occupying additional space when retracted, keeping the view to the sky unobstructed when the space is open.
The Pratic Brera B is manufactured as a single module customisable in width and depth, with maximum dimensions of 430 × 585 cm. Unlike the Brera P and the Brera S, the Brera B does not allow module coupling, making it ideal for single-module openings with dimensions defined by the existing structure. The Cortinsa technical team takes measurements on site and manages made-to-measure fabrication directly with Pratic to guarantee a perfect fit to the opening.
The most common uses of the Pratic Brera B are porches of detached houses, building galleries in Barcelona, restaurant inner courtyards and covered terraces with timber or iron structures. In all these cases, the Brera B delivers the bioclimatic regulation of a top-tier bioclimatic pergola — temperature control, ventilation and natural light — without altering the aesthetics or structure of the space. Cortinsa installs the Pratic Brera B in Barcelona, Madrid and the surrounding metropolitan area. Visit our BIM Library if you need the technical files for the Pratic range for project specification.
No. The Pratic Brera B does not incorporate its own pillars. It is anchored directly to the perimeter of the opening or existing structure via the 2 × 22 cm aluminium profile, with no need to drill the floor or carry out any masonry work.
With the louvres in the closed position, the Brera S channels light rain away to the outside of the opening. For optimum protection against heavy rain, it is recommended to complement it with existing lateral enclosures within the space itself.
