Why Cortinsa’s iron pergola is different

Bespoke metal structure with 10×10 cm profile

The Cortinsa iron pergola is built with 10×10 cm metal profiles designed and manufactured entirely to measure for each project. There are no standard sizes or predefined configurations: every structure adapts to the exact dimensions of the space, the geometry of the façade, and the client’s usage requirements. The result is a modern iron pergola that integrates with precision into any residential or commercial setting.

Free-standing or wall-mounted

The iron pergola structure is available in a free-standing version —with its own columns, requiring no wall fixings— or in a version attached to a wall or façade on one side, reducing the number of columns and the visual impact on the space. Both versions support single, double, or mosaic configurations to cover larger surface areas.

Four finishes for every project

The iron pergola accepts four types of upper finish depending on usage requirements. The veranda finish incorporates a retractable awning for full shade control. The glass finish offers total coverage with complete visibility. The louvre finish creates a shade pattern with consecutive timber slats. The shade net provides total control over light and solar radiation. All finishes can be combined with screens and side glazing as additional options.

Modular composability for large surface areas

Cortinsa’s iron pergolas for garden and terrace are fully modular and composable. Double/Extendable configurations allow the covered area to be expanded with shared intermediate posts. The Mosaic/Expandable configuration —based on the matrix repetition of the base module— covers large surface areas with a coherent and aesthetically unified structure, maintaining shared posts between modules to reduce the number of visible supports.

Frequently asked questions about iron pergolas

Is Cortinsa's iron pergola made to measure or does it come in standard dimensions?

Completely bespoke. The Cortinsa iron pergola is designed and manufactured to the exact dimensions of each project. There are no standard sizes or predefined catalogue configurations. Source: Technical Data Sheet Iron Pergola — Cortinsa.
The free-standing version has its own columns at all support points and does not require fixing to any wall. The wall-mounted version is fixed to the wall or facade on one side, reducing the number of columns and the visual impact. The choice depends on the geometry of the space and whether a wall is available as an anchor point. Source: Iron Pergola Technical Data Sheet — Cortinsa.
The iron pergola accepts four finishes: veranda (retractable awning), glass (full-visibility covering), slats (wooden slats for solar filtering) and shade net (solar radiation control). As additional options, perimeter side screens and side glass can be incorporated. Source: Iron Pergola Technical Data Sheet — Cortinsa.
No. The Cortinsa iron pergola is a bespoke contemporary metal structure with 10×10 cm profiles. Wrought iron is a decorative craft technique featuring ornamental curved forms, typically sold from a catalogue. They are two entirely different products in terms of design, manufacturing process, and application.
Yes, through modular configurations. The Double/Extendable and Mosaic/Expandable configurations allow modules to be added to the base structure with shared posts, extending the covered area in a way that is consistent with the original design. The extension must be considered at the design stage to ensure structural compatibility. Source: Iron Pergola Technical Data Sheet — Cortinsa.
Cortinsa’s iron pergolas are installed primarily in private gardens of detached homes and penthouses, restaurant and hotel terraces, and bespoke projects with geometries or dimensions that standard aluminium solutions cannot accommodate. Fully custom fabrication makes them particularly well suited to luxury residential and hospitality projects where personalised design is a requirement.
