Why the Glatz Fortello parasol is different
The largest in the F Pro range
The Fortello is the largest model in Glatz’s F Pro range, sharing the same design and opening system as the Fortero and Fortino. Its mast, which runs in a continuous profile right down to the ground — with an integrated fixing tube — provides greater structural rigidity than the rest of the range.
Counter-opening via tension lever
Quick-opening telescopic system using a slide and tension lever. The high closed height means there is no need to move furniture when folding the parasol, which is key on hospitality terraces and in heavily used public spaces.
Certified for up to 80 km/h in a wind tunnel
EN-AW-6063-T5 aluminium frame, Ø 67 mm mast with 3 mm wall thickness, A4 stainless steel fasteners and glass-fibre reinforced plastic parts (PA6GF30). Suitable for corrosive environments.
Version with integrated LED lighting
The Fortello is available in a version with LEDs integrated into the crossbars (2700 K, warm white, 3200 lumens). The battery is installed as an accessory. Note: the LED version is not recommended for coastal environments. Please contact us regarding this option.

Glatz Fortello Parasol: large size and wind resistance for professional outdoor use
The Glatz Fortello Parasol: the large-format model in the F Pro range
The Glatz Fortello parasol is the largest model in Glatz’s F Pro range, a line of contract parasols that shares the same design, materials and opening system as the Fortero and Fortino. With sizes ranging from 12 m² (350×350 cm) to 16 m² (400×400 cm), the Fortello is the sun protection solution for large terraces where generous coverage, high structural stability and intensive use are required. See our full selection of Glatz professional parasols to compare the entire range.
Unlike the more compact models in the range, the Fortello features a mast profile that runs continuously down to the ground, with an integrated fixing tube inside, giving it superior structural rigidity and a cleaner aesthetic when installed. Its Ø 67 mm mast with a 3 mm wall thickness and its 20×33 mm crossbars make it the most robust large-format contract parasol in the F Pro range. For HORECA projects requiring the combination of parasols with other outdoor protection systems, visit our page on hospitality and HORECA solutions.
Up to 80 km/h and continuous mast profile: engineering for demanding spaces
The Glatz Fortello’s certified wind resistance reaches 80 km/h (Beaufort 9) with fixed anchoring, in the 350×350 cm and 400×300 cm formats. This figure significantly exceeds that of most centre-pole parasols on the market, making it particularly suitable for exposed terraces, rooftops, public spaces and coastal environments where stability in windy conditions is a critical requirement. The structure is made of EN-AW-6063-T5 anodised aluminium with A4 stainless steel fasteners and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic parts (PA6GF30), making it suitable for corrosive environments.
The counter-opening system with a tension lever allows the parasol to be opened and closed in a matter of seconds without needing to move furniture, thanks to the telescopic system’s high closing height. This feature, shared across the entire F Pro range, is particularly valued in hospitality venues with continuous service where every minute of preparation counts. For projects requiring greater structural coverage, bioclimatic pergolas are the most common complementary solution for large terraces.
Glatz Fortello LED: integrated lighting for evening terraces
The Fortello LED is the version of the Fortello with LED lighting integrated directly into the parasol’s crossbars. It emits 3,200 lumens at a colour temperature of 2,700 K (dimmable warm white), creating a warm lighting atmosphere without the need to install additional external wiring. The rechargeable battery is installed as an accessory and it is not possible to adapt the LED system once configured. It is important to note that the LED version is not recommended for coastal environments or those with high salinity — in such cases, the standard Fortello version is the correct choice.
The wind-resistant garden parasol with LED is available in five sizes, ranging from the Ø 400 cm model to the 400×400 cm (16 m²) model, with wind resistance of between 70 and 90 km/h depending on the size. The 300×300 cm version of the Fortello LED is the only one in the entire range to withstand 90 km/h (Beaufort 10) when fixed in place. Cortinsa, official Glatz distributor in Barcelona and Madrid
As an official Glatz distributor in Barcelona and Madrid, Cortinsa advises on the most suitable large-format HORECA parasol for each project. Our team analyses wind conditions, the area to be covered, the available anchoring system and lighting requirements to recommend either the standard version or the Fortello LED. For projects in coastal or highly corrosive environments, the standard version is always recommended.
The Glatz Fortello offers an immediate delivery programme for the most popular sizes and configurations, allowing deadlines to be met for construction projects or terrace renovations. If the project requires advertising prints on the cover, Glatz Green® fabric or specific pole adaptations — extensions up to +300 mm or reductions down to -275 mm — Cortinsa manages the custom manufacturing directly with Glatz AG. For projects involving the fitting out of several terraces, the Fortello professional outdoor parasol can be combined with the Fortero and Fortino models whilst maintaining the full visual consistency of the F Pro range.
